Sinclairs began in 1949 on Watergate, Doncaster, when Edna Sinclair, grandmother of the current directors, opened a shop in the aftermath of the war — a time when china and crystal were still in short supply.

As chinaware became more readily available, the business flourished and relocated to Georgian House, an impressive Georgian building at the top of Hallgate, Doncaster, in the late 1950s.

During the 1960s, the second generation of the Sinclair family continued the legacy, each forging their own path in the china trade. In 1967, John Sinclair opened his first shop on Glossop Road, Sheffield.

Sinclairs continued to grow, opening a specialist shop in Stamford, a European Porcelain store in London, and a Cook 'n' Dine factory outlet at Lakeside Village, Doncaster.

For over 60 years, Sinclairs has been one of the UK’s leading independent specialists in china, crystal, and luxury leather goods. Our team brings over 40 years of expertise and knowledge in the world’s finest brands. We are proud to offer bespoke services, corporate gifting, and worldwide delivery.

After expanding our in-store offering to include luxury leather goods, branded clothing, and accessories, we launched the Sinclairs Online website in 2000.
